Guilds are communities of like minded crafts people who meet regularly, or semi-regularly, to socialize, learn, and be inspired. Below is a list of some knitting, spinning, and /or weaving guilds in communities where you may live.
Knitting guilds in Canada
West Coast Knitters’ Guild, a diverse group of enthusiastic knitters of all skill levels. Community projects include hand knitted items for the local hospital and Nova House which is a family shelter situated in Richmond. Meetings are the first Tuesday of each month.
Knitting for those less fortunate
afghans for Afghans – a humanitarian and educational people-to-people project that sends hand-knit and crocheted blankets and sweaters, vests, hats, mittens, and socks to the children of Afghanistan.
